“At Slip Tube Enterprises – We’ve Got You Covered!”
We strive to make temporary or permanent high-quality, low-cost, dry environments to increase our customer’s productivity.
Slip Tube Enterprises is a manufacturer and installer of heavy and medium duty polyskin greenhouses and fabric tarpaulin/vinyl covered shelters.
Established in 1981, our professional and skillfully qualified team provides commercial and residential solutions for any shelter and greenhouse need.
Benefits of SlipTube
Our multi-purpose galvanized steel framed buildings are an inexpensive alternative to competing glass greenhouses and steel/wood cladded buildings.
Installation is far less time consuming than competing brands and is often done by our customers.
All manufacturing and building is performed on-site in Surrey, BC.
We use the highest quality North American mechanical steel tubing for all structural framing.
Typical steel tubing used is 2-3/8” diameter, 14-gauge tubing or 1-7/8” diameter, 16-gauge tubing for smaller/residential applications.
All fittings and connectors are created in-house and are hot-dipped galvanized to prevent corrosion.
Specialized & Custom Projects
In addition to our standard sized buildings, we specialize in creating innovative custom coverings for a variety of projects.
Portable welding sheds.
Conveyor belt covers.
Large pond coverings.

Slip Tube Team – Bios
Our team at Slip Tube consists of welders, fabricators, designers and installers.
David Pereira — Co-Owner/President
Prior to establishing Slip Tube, David was in charge of pulp mill start-ups and recycling/waste management operations. After investing in several Slip Tube shelters for these operations, he realized Slip Tube structures were a practical necessity in the industry. David partnered with Allen Lee, the company’s founder, and took over sole proprietorship in 2007.
When David’s not on a job site or in the office, you’ll likely find him golfing and repairing his divots. When he’s not on the links, he’s devoting time to his other passions: family, friends and travel.
Jeff Smith — Co-Owner/CEO
Jeff was previously operations manager for his family-operated home improvement company until the sudden passing of his father and subsequent closure of the business 2014. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge to Slip Tube and has his hands in all aspects of the business including but not limited to design, quoting, managing employees and installation. Jeff became a partner in Slip Tube in 2018.
Jeff enjoys travelling, camping, golfing and fishing with his amazing wife and two young boys. He coaches his son’s lacrosse teams in Delta because, in his words, he is too old and banged up to play himself. Jeff’s parents, Tom and Janet Smith, have had immeasurable influence on his successes.
Randy — Fabricator/Shop Foreman
Randy was born in the village of Gingolx (Kinkolith) in Northern, BC, and has been with Slip Tube since 2011. Randy is the grease that makes the wheels/bender turn in the shop. His duties include fabricating, bending, shipping and coordinating jobs in the shop to meet our deadlines.
Randy’s biggest passions are his nephew, family, friends and basketball. An avid LA Lakers fan, his favourite player is Kobe Bryant. His love for the game inspired him to fabricate a hoop so he can take jump shots on his coffee breaks.
Matthew — Welder
Born in Prince Rupert, BC, Matt has been with Slip Tube since 2009, and is an integral member of our success. With our status as a custom shop, Matt is familiar with our fittings and can make/invent the most innovative (and sometimes craziest) thing we ask of him. Matt always has a smile on his face and keeps the mood in the shop light-hearted.
Matt and his long-time girlfriend live in Surrey, BC, and enjoy watching Canuck games together. One big dream: he hopes they can win a Stanley Cup in his lifetime.
Imam — Welder
Imam is an experience welder who is up to any Slip Tube task. Happily married with two kids, his passion is travelling together with his family. Imam holds all CWB tickets and has the ability to weld anything we design to the highest standards.
Robert — Installer
Robert is Slip Tube’s lead installer and can build almost any of our structures without building instructions. An intelligent and strong young man, Robert is nearly flawless when it comes to Slip Tube buildings.
Robert spends his spare time with his girlfriend Jenna and is also devoted to his other passions, skiing and fishing. He enjoys travelling with his many close friends, which usually involves hitting the slopes.
Lucas — Installer
Lucas is David’s middle child and has essentially grown up in the Slip Tube culture. Probably only David himself rivals his knowledge of our buildings. Skilled with machinery and tools, Lucas is an integral part of our team.
Lucas currently plays junior lacrosse for the Delta Islanders and also enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with friends and family.
Patti — Bookkeeper
Patti is an invaluable member of our team who manages the day-to-day operations of our accounts and much of our purchasing. Although Patti is only a part-time employee, her dedication is unwavering — a testament to the excellent job she performs on her days in the office. Not to mention, the shop always smells much nicer when Patti is at work.
When she’s not running a tight ship, Patti enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and loves travelling, going to concerts, golfing, cooking, and entertaining family and friends.
