Residential Greenhouse

Ideal for Backyard or Residential Garden!

The basic SlipTube hobby greenhouse comes in 8' wide x 10' long comprising of 3 pre-galvanized frame arches on base plates and a top run of galv. purlin in between the arches.  Each arch is made up of 2 specially bent tubing 1 3/8" dia. which are joined at the top with an inverted - V ridge connector that also serves to connect the inter-arch purlins.  Holes are pre-drilled on these arch tubes to facilitate the bolting of lumber baseboards and side boards for benches.

Base plates with welded on spigots are used at the bottom of the arch legs for securing onto wood sills (such as pressure treated 4" x 4" or landscape ties).  The sills should be anchored to the ground against wind uplift by means of anchor stakes, or curb pins.

We use 1" sq. pre-galvanized tubing for framing the endwalls, including fabrication of a swing door.  The square tubing are fastened to the arch tubes.  Self-drilling and tapping tek screws are supplied for ease and speed in endwall framing.

6 mil. (4 year) clear poly is supplied for covering the complete greenhouse, including the endwalls and door.  The poly is held securely to the frame and baseboards with our special aluminum spring lock. 

1" wide x 1/8" thick. flat bars are supplied to clamp the poly around the door frame and the door jamb.
